Behold a detailed account of my waiting time.
February 1, 2018, Thursday. 12:00pm. I lodged my application at VFS in Makati.
February 1, 2018, Thursday. 3:34pm. I received an email from vfsmail@vfsglobal.com saying 'Visa application, ref no.FRMN/010218/0041/01 has been dispatched to the France Embassy Manila on 2/1/2018 for processing.'
February 2, 2018, Friday. The hard working people of the French Embassy is probably working on my Visa application. But they also process Visa application by other countries in Oceania so we must have patience. Have faith that they are working very hard for our sake.
February 3-4, 2018, Weekend. They should be resting.
February 5, 2018. Monday. 9:33am. I received an email from vfsmail@vfsglobal.com saying 'Processed visa application ref no. FRMN/010218/XXXX/XX is ready for collection at the VFS France Visa Application Centre between 2-4pm M-F, If opt for courier, please disregard this message.'
They only needed the entire Friday to work on my application. Kudos to them.
February 5, 2018. Monday. 9:42am. I received an email from vfsmail@vfsglobal.com saying 'Processed visa application ref no. FRMN/010218/XXXX/XX has been couriered to you via 2GO Express on 2/5/2018.
Kindly wait for 24-48hrs if within Metro Manila area.
Additional delivery lead time for Provinces and remote areas applies.'
I was hoping that I would receive my passport on the same day I received the email since 2Go can do same day delivery if sent before 11:00 am. Unfortunately nothing was received that day.
