ZIG Acrylista

I'm too cheap for Poscas so I ended up with Zig Acrylista, which is relatively affordable locally.

Here is my Acrylista 6mm Chisel Tip Strawberry.

I got three Acrylistas today. Strawberry, Wild Heather, and Honeysuckle.

I'm going to use this to paint over this sassy cat pen rest

Who doesn't want a red cat?

Zig Acrylista Strawberry was marked on after painting three layers of flat latex as base primer.

The result appears to have a golden highlight. This is weird but a certainly welcome effect to my intentions.

QC Vaccination Site Pinyahan Elementary School

 Vaccine day!

We were scheduled for vaccination at 10am, but we were there around 9:40 am. The line for 1st dose patients were short that we were only queued for around 10 minutes. Before 10:00 am, we were inside getting our information checked.

Be warned. Parking slots are limited. You'd have to go around the neighborhood to score some sweet parking estate.

This is the end of the queue when we got there.

While waiting, they let you fill up the patient forms. We are having Sinovac, and the name is all over the forms. Seats are provided for the for about 20(ish?) people then after that, you'd have to stand. But don't worry, it won't take long.

Don't make the same mistake that I did. The attending Physician will be the one who will do the checking.

Pinyahan Elementary School is clean and spacious place. Very conducive to learning. I am impressed.

Once they let you in, you walk towards the covered court.

I got distracted by the pretty garden the have.

Please don't mind the name. That's epal and frowned upon.

Basically there are two lines here, one for 1st dose patients and another for their 2nd dose. By the time you get to the first screening, it will branch out into three lines. There are volunteers who will help you get into your line.

For first time patients, they will need your QR code or information print out. A screenshot of your email with your patient number is probably fine.

The three people who are behind the computer are probably verifying your booking in Ezconsult. This will take only a few minutes.

Wear your face shields properly.

Once you get through, you'll get to your health screening. This is where the attending physician will do consultation with you. They would just basically asked the stuff on the list where you wrote your name. If you have comorbidities, they might ask you to get your blood pressure checked. It's in the same place, so no need to tour around the vaccination site.

Be truthful to the Doctors there.

All set! Time to get your vaccine! When it gets to your turn, you will fill up your Vaccination Card then just put your bare arms at the opening for that vaccine goodness. This is the perfect time for selfies. The person administering the vaccine doesn't mind after going through all those countless future Youtube sensations chasing that golden validation.

Waiting in line to get the Vaccine in Pinyahan Elementary School

For QC residents/workers who booked through EzConsult, this will be your vaccination card. Once your attending "vaccinator" fills that up, keep it safe. Take a photo of it as proof that you have had your first dose if ever you lose this. I've overheard over at the 2nd dose line that one guy doesn't have his card because he lost it. They were asking him if he has a photo, or any other documentation that he is indeed due for a second dose.

Vaccination Card

Congratulations! You're done! Time to head to the monitoring room where they will see if you have immediate side effects. I've never seen a room with so many Blood Pressure contraptions. You are are required to stay for at least 15 minutes. But from my experience, I'd don't think I was there for even 5 minutes.

At the monitoring room.

Once they let you out, you're all done for the day. Take a rest and monitor yourself for any side effects. I just became drowsy by mid afternoon so I went home from work. By the time I got home, I didn't feel sleepy at all. The next day, my arm was just tender around the injection area.

Stay healthy and safe! Get vaccinated!

Japan Post to Philippines via Sea Cargo

As mentioned in my previous entry, I've ordered new Toho Sangyo Urushi Tubes from Fishingshop.kiwi, which is based in Japan.

I genuinely have no idea what is the use for these Urushi Lacquer tubes from sport fishing companies but I am glad they have it. Some people buy this from Amazon for Kintsugi repair but are instantly disappointed since this specific Toho Urushi is not approved for tableware.

Look at how many Urushi tubes I ordered lol.

Short feedback for Fishingshop.kiwi:

Date of ordering was April 23, 2021. I have to wait for them to check stocks before I can pay them.

After a quick e-mail follow-up, I only got the confirmation from them on April 27, 2021, which means I can finally make the card payment. I paid immediately after receiving. There were a few hours that lapsed before my order status updated to "paid"

I was kind of expecting that they'd be shipped out before the Golden Week starts.

But they didn't.

I had to wait for the Golden Week to end before I send another e-mail follow up. When I did, they promised to ship it out the next day, May 7, 2021.

Quick recap of the time line:
April 23, 2021    Ordered the Items.
April 27, 2021    Confirmed by Fishingshop.kiwi.
                            I made payment.
                            Fishingshop.kiwi confirmed my payment.
May 7, 2021       Item shipped out by Fishingshop.kiwi

That's 14 days. It could be sooner I ordered way before Golden Week.

My parcel can now be tracked. I think I have to let it grow on its own. The more I keep a close eye on this, the longer the wait.

I'll leave you alone for now.

Quick update:

A row has been added! It seems that my parcel has been dispatched.

June 1, 2021 Update:

after days of checking out the tracking at Japan Post, I wondered if Philpost Tracking would show the same results. I found out that they have an additional entry that is not reflected in the Japan Post Tracking. Below is the item history under my tracking number:

After 15 days, it was finally updated to "Dispatch to country of destination." I assume that this is the final step (hopefully) before my package completely leaves Japan soil. My fearless forecast is that it will arrive in the Philippines port by June 2 or 3, given that cargo travel from Tokyo to Manila is 8-9 days. After that, the long wait at the Bureau of Customs will start.

June 10, 2021 Update:

My fearless forecast was waay too ambitious.

Package received locally on June 10, 2021. I was off by 7-8 days. But no one knows if this timeline reflects the actual item activity. But who cares? It's in the Philippines!

So today is a Thursday and I am not confident that this package will move through customs on Friday. Actually I am betting it will sit and collect dust for weeks in there.

June 16 2021 Update

Alright! It's finally moving. As of yesterday, my package is being transferred to the delivery office. Maybe the next update will show what office it is. Hopefully it's in Quezon City so we can pick it up.

July 3, 2021 Update

Finally it has been delivered!

Here it is in all its glory!

Philpost charged me Php 212.00 for the delivery.

The breakdown is as follows:
Delivery Fee Php 89.29
PITF (I have no idea what this means) Php100.00
VAT Php 10.71
"Total Sale" Php 12.00

Total amount = Php212.00

Total bummer but what can I do?

GT Sport Honda S800 '66

Check out my GT Sport Honda S800 1966 race photo. This is a fun car to drive and to play around with in the livery editor. This one looks way too slammed for a classic car.

Since we are in the topic of slamming classic cars, here is a photo of a Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 with tire profiles hiding under the fender.

GT Sport RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7

Time for some fun with GT Sport liveries. This one is inspired by the cars of the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift movie.

It's not a perfect match to the Veilside RX7 but this is what I can do with the limited choices in GT Sport.

Let me know what you think!
